MaltaPost p.l.c. (Malta Post) is the main postal operator in Malta. The open joint-stock company took over the postal services previously provided by Posta Limited and began to function in April 1998. The headquarters is in Mars.

In Malta, there are about 40 post offices and many auxiliary branches, the latter often located in stores. The main purpose of the postal company is the collection, sorting, transportation, and distribution of domestic and international mail; Delivery and sending of parcels and letters from all over the world. Fast, traceable and safe delivery in both Malta and the Maltese Islands is provided by two service lines of the company: Express Mail Service and MaltaPost Express International.

Parcels weighing up to 31,5 kg can be sent from Russia to Malta by mail. The domestic operator offers three types of shipping: regular (by land, water), expedited (by air), or EMS-delivery. Air delivery is a faster and more reliable method of service. Shipping times are on average from two weeks to two months.
